A new group of studies is suggesting that Chronic Pain might be a result of an overabundance of protein in our bodies. It is being suggested that this overgrowth of protein amplifies pain signals to the brain. A new drug that has been developed my Phizer is in the final stages of trial, and may end up being a groundbreaking advancement in the treatment of Chronic Pain. Tenezumab, is a drug that is said to neutralize the overabundance of these proteins and in turn deadens the hypersensitive pain signals many of us with Chronic Pain suffer from.

Tenezumab has already shown favorable results in the treatment of osteoarthritis, lower back pain, and interstitial cystitis – but with any medication, it comes with side effects, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, and abnormal tingling sensations being at the top of the list.
