Oh the sweet sounds of….

THIS…..

Is what I woke up to this morning….. RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD!! Grrr…….. We live in a condo, and they have been doing EXTENSIVE renos in our building.  Every balcony in our building has beautiful tile flooring…. but WHOMEVER put in the tile flooring years ago didn’t put it in properly.  Moisture has seeped in and ruined the frame underneath.  It is allowing water to come into people’s suites, ruin flooring and all sorts of other issues that I don’t really understand.  All I know is that it is going to cost us $$$$ to get our balcony re-tiled, but we are not the only ones.  Every balcony in the building has to be reconstructed.

SO…..

They are jack hammering (is that a word? HA HA!) the balcony above us to get all the tile up and then they will be using the most ANNOYING compressor and gun to bolt down the actual frame….. It is EXTREMELY LOUD!!!  As in, shaking the walls, yelling at one another from 3 feet away, don’t bother to turn on the TV because you will never be able to hear it NOISE!!

It started at about 3pm yesterday, and continued until 7:30ish.  Now I don’t know about you, but I find it EXTREMELY RUDE to do  renos like that during dinner hour!!  I was ranting and raving to the boys last night, “How rude! Why didn’t they give us notice?  They should give us 24 hours notice that they were going to be INVADING our privacy!!  We could have gone OUT for DINNER!  Can’t they DO THESE THINGS DURING THE DAY WHEN PEOPLE ARE AT WORK?!?!?  IT IS MUCH MORE RESPECTABLE TO DO IT EARLIER ON IN THE DAY!!!!”… Well be careful what you wish for…. Because at 7 am this morning….

Um…… Okay, I am having post traumatic flashbacks from last night…….. WWHIRWHIRWHIRWHIRWHIR………. This cannot be happening!………DUGADUGADUGADUGADUGADUGADUGADUGA…….. I am going to turn over and cover my head and pray that this STOPS!!!………..

TIME TO GET UP!!!!!

As I sit here typing, the laptop is actually vibrating, that’s how LOUD this noise is!  Well why don’t I just go out for the day, right?

I wish I could, but sadly that isn’t the case today.  My little guy is home sick (and he’s NOT curled up on the couch watching Spiderman right now, I can assure you of that!).

Why can’t THEY do this kind of stuff in the evening?!?  😉

Oh right, we have already gone through that…….
