People with Fibromyalgia are prone to falls… or at least that is what is being reported in a new small study.

Fibromyalgia can have an impact on balance, so it only makes sense that the risk of falling would increase for those suffering from this disease. I am a fibromite that has suffered from balance issues, vertigo, dizziness, and problems with gait – and ‘knock on wood’ I haven’t had any major spills as a result, but I have had some minor ones… and even though they were minor, they caused me to flare – so the healing period was longer than it should be.
If you are a fibromite and you exercise, maybe you can add a few balance and coordination exercises into your routine just in case? I know that this is something I have to work on… Yoga, is great for this, and helps with stress AND flexibility! So I will finish by saying “Namaste” – I hope you all have your feet firmly planted 😉
