Regardless of whether or not you suffer from chronic pain or illness, I think we can all agree that we could work harder at being healthy and balanced! So here is you FIRST TIP!!
TIP #1 – Turn out the lights!
Having good sleep hygiene is CRUCIAL to getting enough REM time as you snooze. One way to do this is to turn out the lights as SOON as you crawl into bed. That MEANS do not use your bed for reading or watching TV, find a comfy place outside your bedroom to do this. When you crawl into bed, the lights should be off, the room should be dark and cool, and there should be NO outside stimulation. A bed should only be used for two things, and sleeping is one of them ;).
This might be a hard habit to break, especially if you are used to reading, eating, watching TV or perhaps blogging from your queen size posturepedic ;), but your body will thank you for it once you can change your sleep behaviour!!
