Hi Friends!
It has come to my attention that there is a website that is stealing ALL of my posts, and not giving me credit for any of the work that I do here on my page….. and that REALLY upsets me…. This site is actually stealing blog posts from MANY MANY people and posting them as if they were their own.
It is a shitty thing for them to do, a blatant infringement on people’s privacy if they write their blog for close friends/family, and it is leading readers away from people’s sites and to their own….. plagiarism at its very finest…. ahhh the joys of the world-wide web!
Please let me tell all of you that I put in a LOT of work into this site… and it is my pleasure to do it. I put my heart and soul into this blog for many reasons… I LOVE to do it first and foremost, I want to shine a light on what it is like to live with an invisible illness, and I want to create a community of hope and understanding, not just for people who suffer from a chronic affliction but for EVERYONE…. because I believe that it is needed…
I am NOT going to stop doing it either…. because I believe this site has a purpose… and it is pathetically sad that I have to worry about people who don’t have anything better to do that victimize others….
I won’t mention the website here on this page, as I was picked up by Google this week, and I DO NOT want to lead more traffic to their so-called-health-web page. If you are personally interested you may email me at gracefulagony@gmail.com and I will give you the link.

In future posts you will end up seeing a small disclaimer written at the end of each post with a link back to my website. I apologize in advance for the redundancy, but I can’t see another way to deal with this situation as there is NO way to contact the site that is plagiarizing my work. If you can think of a better way, than please feel free to leave a suggestion!
And to the kind gal who took the time to find out who I was, track me down, and then let me know this was happening after finding her own blog posts had been stolen…. THANK YOU! You affirm that there are still many good people in the world!

Hon, that is absolutely pathetic of them! Shame on them!!!! I too would be increadibly angry….actually I AM angry! I can’t believe people are that dispicable!

Thanks hon….. It is disgusting… and I am trying to locate other people by their posts on this site and let them know as well… I have let the gals at chronicbabe know as well, and sadly some of them are being affected too 😦

I am so sorry this has happened to you. There’s not much worse of a feeling, that’s for sure. You may want to consider adding a copyright page to your site. That won’t necessarily stop people from stealing your work, but most of the time it will make them think twice. Unfortunately, until word gets around enough or someone brings about legal action, these people won’t stop. It’s important we keep up-to-date on their actions and spread the word, so thank you for doing just that.

If the person is posting it on her site then she must show in the recent readers and recent viewers. You could OUT her.

It is actually an “Auto blog”… they just troll the internet for “health” related articles and blogs and post them as their own.. no contact info, no nothing on the page… other than links to advertisements for medications.
As far as I can tell it is registered to someone in the czech republic, but that is all I can find out online.
I am lodging a formal complaint, and I’ll work with my blog host and others that are being ripped off to see if we can shut this site down.
😦 How pathetic!
