Hi Everyone!
I was passed along an interesting link this morning on Twitter, and I thought some of you maybe interested!
Tomorrow there is a web seminar about access to investigational drugs by the FDA. For my Canadian readers, this is the Unites States FDA, so some of this info isn’t directly applicable to us, but it will affect us somewhere down the line.
This seminar will address:
- factors to consider in deciding whether to seek access to an investigational drug
- ways to access investigational drugs
- how the agency protects patients using investigational drugs
The presentation will run 30 minutes and will include an opportunity to ask questions
There are directions on the page linked to this post on how to join this seminar.
If you take part in the seminar, could you please pass on the info to me, so that I may post it here? I don’t know if I will be able to attend tomorrow, but I am sure interested in what will be discussed, especially in light of the discussions we have had here on the new drug application presented to the FDA for sodium oxybate as a potential treatment for Fibromyalgia. If you have missed these posts, you can scroll through the past 2 weeks of entries, and you will find numerous links to research at your leisure
I hope you are all having a pain-controlled and happy day!!
HUGS AND LOVE
